“In December 2018, I proposed a artistic procedure of inhabiting, for 20 days , the surroundings of a road in Laghdira, a rural community in the interior of Morocco. The Artistic immersion intended to activate aesthetically the space-time, through my displacement on the plowed fields and pastures of that landscape. My wandering presence along that path sought each new encounter, to establish with the residents a rich exchange that, due to cultural and language differences, established signs that did not exist in our previous repertories.



















The impossibility of a complete translation of ideas, images and behaviors generated, in that space-time, new forms of dialogues where our languages did not overlap. This allowed the interlocutors to establish new resignifications that shaped the perception of those encounters, giving shape to subjective points that constructed a new topology of affections.














The aesthetic activation provided through this work created a unique moment at each encounter. The artwork on "La Route" is imprinted in the memory of the people who have established this network of affections woven in the Laghdira community and will only be activated again through oral accounts of the people who have lived the experience.
